BaseCamp
I’m new to Control4. Literally as of yesterday. I was watching cable tv yesterday and the cabletv signal just dropped in the middle of the tv program. Pushing the cable option on my c4 remote doesn’t bring up the cable signal now. I tried rebooting the applicable cable pvr/receiver but that didn’t work. All other TVs in the house are on Control4 and I can bring up my cable content on them. Plus the tv with the problem still provides access to a separate AppleTV puck with no issue. Access to cabletv via the remote just stopped working. I can’t reach the installer and really want to watch F1 qualifying today on this monster tv I have. Any help would be most welcome. Regrettably, I’m not super tech savvy. Are all the boxes around the house the same? Is there a video matrix? if you aren’t super technical not sure you want to do this but if other boxes are working well - and are the same model - just saw everything wire for wire. Most cable boxes are dumb boxes per se and are controlled via IR IM going off those assumptions for my answer FYI. also did you make sure all cables going into the tv and going into the box are set and connected well? Could also be a cable went bad so even if you box swap you may need to cable swap too
eggzlot
Another thought - is an audio video receiver (Avr) involved? Maybe CEC is enabled on the tv, avr or cable box and inputs are changing? Cec needs to be off on all devices lastly if an avr is in the chain maybe it’s an hdcp issue
