Sending Telnet commands

I want to use a control4 keypad to trigger scenes in a MA Lighting console. I have done this via a Crestron system with telnet strings. Is there a way to spit out telnet in control4?

What can I google to educate myself further on this topic? I looked at the documentation on the driver and I am still at a loss.

Not sure that the Chowmain Generic TCP driver works as well for this, but there is a similar driver from DomAudeo.
