GAFB
Is there a way to change the password on composer from another installer using Putty?
seth_j
I don't think so.. thats the root password. You pretty much have to re-flash the system and reprogram.I'm not sure if C4 tech support has some super secret back door but this effectively locks anyone out of the system.. reminds me of good ol Crestron and AMX's issues with source code IP.I could be wrong too... BrettB0727
You should be able to, the Controller is just a BusyBox linux machine. You would most likely have to know the original password. And 2.0 and later you typically use SSH and prior to 2.0 I think people use telnet a lot.If it is the default root password, that can be found on the web if you look hard enough, but I know people on this forum try not to just say it out right, as it does add for a bit of a security risk if the whole world knows the control 4 root password.
