jumper
Hi All;I have just replaced my Cable receiver with the new Cisco 9865 HD pvr, however I can't seem to find the driver to use for device and where the IR eye is on the front display of the receiver. Any help would be greatly appreciatedThanks
Matt Lowe
most likely if you had a similar brand device it uses the same code set the original box did.
mstafford388
Yeah it should be the same ir codes if it is the same provider. Shine a flashlight at the front if the new box. A lot of times you can see the ir receiver that way. Otherwise just select that box as as source in your system and send a channel up command repeatedly and move the flasher around until the box responds. K2TECH
Those new Cisco boxes use the scientific Atlantic ir code set. You will have to learn the exit and precious buttons in. You can't see a ir target with a flash light like most every device. The ir eye actually is in the bottom plastic bezel towards the middle. It's definitely one where you have to use the remote to help you place the eye.
Audio Obsessions
Its on the right side above the technicolor or cisco label. A flashlight should indeed reveal the reciever. I just walked a client through relocating it, and I too wish there was a photo online, I will try to post one when I can.
