Viperman
I switched out my audio matrix awhile ago.. Sounds plays and everything works, but it is way quieter than before. Before I would play on like a 30 and it would be fine now I have to have it at 75 or 80. Now the strange part. When I add a zone to what it playing it gets really loud (like what used to be the old 75) for a couple of seconds and then quiet again. Any ideas? dcovach
Is this new matrix a used one? You might have old settings lingering. Like, what's the max volume setting for each zone of the matrix amp?

dcovach
Do you have composer HE? Double click the amp in your project. You should see those details there
Viperman
when I look at the audio outputs they are all over the place ranging from 0 to as high as 93. Is there a specific value they should be set to?
dcovach
Those are custom set for each specific room so when you set volume at 100% from a nav, you won't blow the roof off the house. Or worse yet, the speakers. Try adjusting only one room for now and listen for any improvement in gain

Would be nice if they were labeled.
Viperman
Also. So would it be accurate to say there are 2 and maybe even 3 volumes for every room, the audio matrix, the amp, and the device that is playing?
dcovach
Another place to check for start volume is click the room (living), then find the "misc" tab. Start volume can be adjusted there when music initiates in that room

dcovach
I don't need those details. In c4 account, change your dealer to Covach Construction and allow dealer remote access.
