jogilvie Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I have a DLink NAS connected to our network with all of our music stored on it. i want to access it through the "my music" icon. How do i get Control 4 to recognize the storage unit? i'm a fairly new Control 4 user and not too familiar (yet) with how to navigate these issues as they come up. Thanks to anyone who can give me some direction.
Ryanjackson Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 You have to get it set up with the dealer that did you system. There is no way for an end user to add a media storage device.Ryan
ILoveC4 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Have your dealer add several "Network File Storage" drivers. Have him name one MUSIC. The reason to have him add several is only takes a second, and you'll likely want more in the future.Once he adds the driver, you can go in and put the IP address and file path, then within the Media tab in Composer you can scan it, which will pull down all the album info and make it appear in your GUI.
