EV Driver: FAILURE - Could not connect to activation server

I am having connection issues with all of my Extra Vegetables drivers. Two are activated and two are FAILURE. When the Keys are copied/pasted in Composer they go through the sequence:

• checking internet connectivity, please wait...

• checking key, please wait...

• (current time stamp) FAILURE - Could not connect to activation server

I have 4 EV drivers versions:

• Sonos (v7.0.4) FAILURE -Could not connect to activation server

• PushNotify (v7.0.0) Activated -Could not connect to activation server

• DirecTV IP (v5.0.6) Activated - Could not connect to activation server

• Popcorn Hour (v7.0.1) FAILURE - Could not connect to activation server

I have tried almost everything (except what would fix it).

• Disabled Firewalls on Windows (Win7) and my router (Asus RT-AC66R). Cable modem doesn't have one.

• Connected the HC-300 to the router and bypassed all switches.

• Tried to update through Composer without being connected to the Director.

• Verified internet connection through: Tools/System Diagnostics/Controller Networking/Test Internet Connection... Success on Look Up and Web Services.

• Scoured the c4Forms.

• And some VooDoo...

Additional info:

I am running Composer PRO v2.3.0 and Director v2.3.0.210826. I recently did the update to v2.3 and updated the Sonos drivers when everything stopped working. I have yet to finish commissioning the Popcorn Hour setup. I'm afraid of touching the other two.

Wow it sounds like you have tried everything except going to EV's website and clicking the big green button labeled "support." :P

Thanks and thanks again to EV for the fix.

William W, in a very quick response time, gave me this information...

"Change the DNS server that is set on your controller to be 8.8.8.8 and don't have a secondary or tertiary DNS server set."

I reset my controller network some time back due to a Static IP issue -back to DHCP and I believe it auto filled in DNS (first and secondary) the not the required 8.8.8.8 DNS.

All drivers are activated and communicating properly. I hope to soon pay it forward as I learn more...
