wappinghigh
Hey let's change the way we all "think" multiroom... Lets use Control4 to switch from a "multiroom" music system to re-label it as a "multi-family member " music system... ie Stop labelling and calling zones physical rooms..and start calling em virtual "people" listening zones... Listen > "Dad's Sonos" >.. switched to wherever he wants... Listen > "Dad's Spotify" >...switch Spotify connect from the iphone from the car to wherever he is going.. Listen > "Mums ipod" via (airplay) >...to the bathroom.. Listen > "Dad's HiRez/DSD" >.. Marantz Hi Rez streamer switched to the good hifi gear room.... Listen > "Mums Pandora" > streaming Sonos Pandora Barry White station...> switched to the bedroom.. Sir.. you are Genius.
dogdvr
Wow, I am glad you like that suggestion. But it is not new. Good luck though
wappinghigh
Wow, I am glad you like that suggestion. But it is not new. No It's not new, I know.. : but what is though is the need for it. With the likes of Sonos telling their faithful what should/shouldn't be streamed around a multiroom system..and how (or not) to listen to a paticular Music streaming service within their platform.... C4 adds flexibility here (in what used to be a pretty inflexible way of doing networked multiroom....> Sonos used to have it sorted when the only way you could do networked audio were in the days of just Apple itunes and 16 bit and paid for music tracks ripped off your CD collection.) Alot is changing in the music distribution space: and Sonos is starting to act like a Cable TV provider IMHO.. telling it's users what to do.... C4 allows flexibility here In a similar way it does this using HDMI switches with the need for a couple different video streamers because of Video content distribution wars.. msgreenf
C4 has always had more flexibility then Sonos. Don't think a single product has it right. Is this not a 'game changer' Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk
