Chris1 Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Hi all I have been having an issue for weeks and I am struggling to resolve it. I have a gate entry system in place. 1 x push button and 2 x 7" touch panels. The touch panels work fine %90 of the time. Then randomly the touch panel will reboot itself whilst a call starts to come through. Obviously this can cause the customer to miss visitors at the gate. Has anyone experienced this type of thing before?? The other thing that happens is that the relay occasionally closes thus opening the gates, again for no real reason..... brucecampbell Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Are these touchscreens POE?how far is the cat cable run? - possibly voltage loss due to long cable runs causing shutdown when video processing is running?? As for the random relay action - I would run some debugging.perhaps a couple of variables which can be set from certain points in the code - this way you can try to determine if code is being triggered, or if the hardware is at fault.
