rick325
I have a piece of electronic gear that will respond to 12v triggers (to turn on and off, it is an amplifier). How do I wire the back of the HTC into a standard 3.5mm plug so I can put it into the amp?I am going to guess:Com = "ground"NO = "normally open" => "tip wire" (means it will be "ground" normally, and +12v when triggered)NC = "normally closed" => leave unattachedDid I get this correct? If not, please advise. Also, what "connector" do I put on the end of the wire to plug it into the little slots on the back of the HTC?
RyanE
I think you'd need to send the +12V through the relay (into COM then from NO to your device), and also connect the GND to the other terminal of your device. No guarantee and no refund if you fry something.RyanE

Cause of death: electrocution, circumstances: unknown.I am sorry to say that the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.I decided to not do anything with it and simply use the trigger on the receiver (not as elegant, but easier). If someone figures it out, I'd love to know. Paul_Quadriom
Hey Rick, glad to know you're ok! I do as RyanE says about jumping the 12V and the COM often and it works great.
