qVAMPIREp
Today my HC1000 was replaced with a new HC800 and my system was upgraded to 2.7.1 I installed the newest version of ComposerHE and I can see my director and connect to it. However, ComposerHE never asks for a serial number. The result is I can not see and or control any of the devices settings. I have uninstalled all versions of ComposerHE and reinstalled but I never get a functioning version of HE. Is there a hidden file somewhere that I need to manually delete? Thanks
Cyknight
Check to make sure the controller is properly registered under your account AND the controller itself knows it's registered. Beyond that you can look for the Control4 folder under (C;///Users?{you}/AppData/Roming) and delete that folder AFTER uninstalling Composer. Then reinstall. PS: note that it's more common than you might think that your controller isn't fully registered after a swap like yours than you might think. qVAMPIREp
Thanks for your help Cyknight! The windows uninstall left data in the roaming folder that caused me problems. Everything appears to be back to normal now.
