nocontrol
Hi, my system is currently on 2.5.3 and I'm looking to upgrade so as to be able to control my jandy iaqualink. Currently I have an hc1000 and 2 hc300s, with 1 of the hc300s acting as the zap coordinator. Can I upgrade this system to 2.6 or later? The problem is the zap coordinator is apparently a "primary controller" and so cannot be upgraded to 2.6 or later. However per the upgrade restriction is due to the introduction of "zigbee proxy broadcast" (ZPB) which I don't need to use... Can I somehow upgrade the zap coordinator to newer software anyways? Perhaps: upgrade with the coordinator offline; secondary ZAP (hc300) is upgraded make the secondary ZAP controller the ZAP coordinator bring the former ZAP controller online as a secondary ZAP upgrade remaining hc300 ? Cyknight
Running ZAPCoordinator doesn't mean a controller is considered a primary controller. The ONLY primary controller in any system is the controller running director. The ZPB is new FUNCTION that your system can't work with - but it will work the way it was no problem. You should be able to upgrade just fine.
