Posted March 5, 20169 yr Okay, so my home was never wired for security, and after going through the training in Salt Lake, I really would like to get my system up and running with a security system. I came across this system: https://www.surveillance-video.com/security-80-860-4.html/ and I was wondering if it is a pretty easy system to program? I am going to want to use wireless door/window sensors to it and then be able to run the whole system through the control4 driver. The control4 end I can handle, I was just wondering if any of you have experience in installing this panel.
March 5, 20169 yr Security isn't hard - just a lot of 'work'. There's going to be a LOT of settings to go through etc. But the only 'hard' part is staying focused.. And yes. I've used the Concord4
March 5, 20169 yr Author I understand there are a lot of settings, which should be no problem. I guess I just wanted to know that I wasn't going to waste my money if I bought this panel and tried to integrate it. I haven't programmed a panel before.
March 5, 20169 yr I have the same panel - so no I'm not going to say it's a waste of money The Concord 4 is in fact the MOST integrated panel still, though the DSC PowerPC series is not that far behind. Concord 4 is the EASIEST panel to integrate that uses the newer interface.
March 5, 20169 yr Author Well thanks for the information. Looks like this will be a good option for me.
March 5, 20169 yr I have a concord4 with mostly wireless sensors and on an older firmware (0460). The new security drivers are working perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
