A V1 would be fine, I would prefer a dock but it is not absolutely necessary if the price is right. I am using for our in-laws suite (above the garage) and my zigbee remote has trouble for some reason up there, plus the touch screen is much easier for my folks to use.Let me know or email me.Would like to buy this week. I have had it for around 2 years but has been unpluged for months and probaly only used once or twice to charge the TS..
