Disabling Services

Under system diagnostics, control4 is reporting that I'm using 200mb of memory which is almost at the max. The items that look strange to me are 3 instances of Director and 8 instances of rhapserver. I'm running 1.6 with 2 hc-300's. I thought that I should be using only 1 instance of director. As for rhapserver, which I assume is rhapsody, I don't use it and don't plan on using it. Can my dealer disable any of these services and still have everything work (minus rhapsody which I don't want)?

They could set up your system so that 1 of the 300's is running Director only.

Not knowing your complete system, that is the best I can offer now.

Your dealer can disable rhapsody if you do not plan on using it which will free up system resources.

there should be only 1 director running per project. If there is more than 1, it is configured wrong. Disabling rhapsody may help a little bit. But def' only 1 controller (the 1000) should be running director.

That is incorrect.

A proper system running 1.6 will show 3 processes titled director.

This is normal. Multiple RhapServer processes is also normal.
