Chances are if you had a 3rd party router and you blindly disconnect it and connect it all to a xfinity modem/router combo you will open yourself up to a connectivity bag of worms from an IP addressing standpoint not even including that ISP modem/routers are not good for control systems. I would contact your dealer just to touch base and come up with an action plan before touching anything. They may be able to remote in and set things to dhcp if they are static and change any IP connections so you dont open yourself up for a nightmare in the interim of getting a proper replacement router Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
