blackfiveo1 Posted March 8, 2018 Share Posted March 8, 2018 So I find myself using my Apple TV(s) more and more but the audio is terrible (playing from the TV speaker). What is the recommended solution on this to leverage my c4 audio matrix. Or is the answer to get a sound bar on my TVs? sonic30101 Posted March 8, 2018 Share Posted March 8, 2018 What kind of video distribution do you have? Is the Apple tv connected to it or locally in the room? Analog audio balun the tv output and feed it into the c4 distributed audio system if the appletv is locally connected to the tv itself, if it is connected to a HDMI matrix that doesn't have audio breakout, feed it through an audio extractor before feeding it into the video matrix to be able to break out the audio to your audio matrix Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would need a Regular RCA out, because my 2 digital inputs are in use on my 4x4 audio matrix. Is my thinking correct? You would need one that downmixes if you want to keep surround on the HDMI output of the embedder.
