Establishing power State.

I am looking for a way to send a push notification establishing the fact that my generator is now powering the house.

I have a contact that opens ounce the hydro power is off and have it programmed to send notification of power cut and another that sends power re-established once hydro back on and contact closed.

My HC800 is on a UPS.

The only thing that I can think of that is direct power with no dimmer or switch is my motion sensors.Could I use one as a proof of power but I thinking those would operate off alarm battery now that I am writing this out.

 

Any ideas.

A 12v power supply on the generator into the contact input to show voltage would be pretty easy

Do you mean input the 12 volts into the HC800.

Done.

It's not till I looked at the back of the HC800 and followed the wiring of 2 other switches that the light came on.

Got my dealer to incorporate and voila.
