Dreyfus Fabrini
Hello! I’m having a major problem with my 8-channel C4 amplifier. 1) I plug it into the outlet and, even without any connections, it powers on (leaving the standby state) and stays on. If I switch the “Trigger” switch on and off again, it goes to standby state.. 2) If I plug in the RCA and speaker cables and switch the source on, it turns on and, when I switch the source off, it doesn’t turn off and keeps making a buzzing sound on the speakers. 3) The buzzing goes away when I unplug the RCA cables. It happens in all zones. My dealer and I have been struggling with this, with no solution. Could you please help me? thank you!
-defunct-
It could be a ground loop between the source and the amp. There are small plug adapters that lift the ground temporarily.
lippavisual
What model amp?? The older C4 branded, non-matrix versions were complete junk. Static or hissing was a common problem with them. Swap the amp is your best bet. Only gets worse from here.
