jbrent531
I am trying to use a Control 4 4 Zone Amplifier in my system. I had it connected and working and came back after the weekend and found that my modem and router needed to be reset. After doing this I lost communication from my amp. I can see the amplifier on my router connected devices tab as IP 192.168.0.105, in Composer it is showing up as 192.169.1.51??? How is this possible? When I try to identify the unit in the network connections tab, nothing pops up when I press the button on the front of the unit. Also, when I go to the Config button on the unit, the network type is set to DHCP but the IP shows 000.000.000.000 as well as the gateway and mask. any help?????? thecodeman
Sounds like your DHCP release expired, but didnt renew...?Can you assign a static IP address - 192.169.1.51 through the front panel?
jbrent531
I was told by tech support that there is a problem with assigning the 4 zone amp a static IP and I should just leave it DHCP. My router sees it as 192.168.0.105 which is what i need it to be but for some reason composer shows it as 192.169.1.51 in the network status menu.....my DHCP lease is set to 180 minutes.... thecodeman
Well you should try to extend your lease time then and see if you can reserve the IP address of 192.169.1.51, or get your dealer to change the ip address of the amp.
CFUG
180 minutes is pretty short...
