Hammer
In Composer HE, I can adjust the gain on the outputs (zones) for the C4 AMP. I was wondering if it is possible on the amp to adjust gain or volume on the input (source) side? Basically, I have a static audio source that when selected in a zone requires a higher volume setting and when you switch away from that source to another it will be very loud. Before I tried to handling this programmatically in Composer HE, I thought to check to see if there is an easy approach to setting a level on the input side.Appreciate any input,George
henniae
Nope. No input gain control on the C4 amp.
ILoveC4
Just program for when certain audio sources are selected, adjust the volume. That is fairly simple...
CFUG
^Correct. Outdoors here gets 45% while indoor zones are initially set @ 20~25% for global music macros
Jeff at Zektor
Recognizing this is an amp question, if you need to have a matrix switch in the project, the Zektor Clarity and Prowler have input gain and volume control per zone. Our new C4 driver has this control function. We also have a marketing alliance with Sherbourn, which is a very cost competitive, premium quality amp that has a physical volume control setting. When you purchase a Zektor and a Sherbourn piece from each company we provide an additional 5% off normal dealer cost. Might be another way to cost effectively address future products.Thanks.Jeff
