New to Control 4 - How to get the most out of it

Hi Guys,

I'm new to control 4 and my AV guy just installed the screen and updated the app in my new residence. I would like to know the following:

1. During the programing on site, he asked me to sign in with my Nest credentials on his computer in order for him to link my thermostats to control 4. Will he now be able to see my nest camera footages as well which are linked to the same nest account at the residence?
2. What should I request in order for me to be as little independent as possible?  Is there any access I should get to install add-ins or to make changes such as renaming rooms, adding/ eliminating things? Is there some sort of control 4 intranet or do I have to live and accept what he configured on my device without knowing if I can actually do more with the entire system?

1.   Nest Video footage is not available in C4,  only the thermostats.   Unless he has your Nest credentials, he shouldn't be able to see your cameras and definitely not through C4.

2.  Ask your dealer to sell you Composer HE C4 software.   It cant do everything the dealer can do but it can do a lot of programming and simple driver IP resets, etc.   Its a one time fee and worth it imho.

It also comes with 1 year of  Control4's 4Site subscription, which lets you use the app to control your system remotely. If you have lights/blinds/alarm/locks/intercom etc on the system this is a very useful addition.
