Sherwin Lee
So a question I am sure has been asked and answered before, not lazy to search but believe as hardware ages it swings the vote one way or another. So C4-16amp3-b or Triad TS-PAMP8-100? Which is worth the squirt?
LollerAgent
I'm not sure what you're asking, but given the choice, the PAMP8-100 for sure.
zaphod
The C4-16AMP has been discontinued for years. But it is a matrix amp, while the PAMP8 does not have matrix capabilities so you need to also have an audio matrix switch. I personally find the C4-16AMP, and its smaller 4 zone sibling, to be very solid amps that have been very dependable, unlike some later C4 amps that seem to be prone to failure. If you want the C4-16AMP then you will have to buy it used. They can be found on ebay for around $500 or so.
Sherwin Lee
Yeah its my idea. I had a 16amp and it performed very well. Lack of matrix is a bit of an added cost worry as well. Spec sheet on the new says as you use zones so output per zone drops. Kinda odd only having 25 watts per zone whereas 16amp is 100 watts a zone. So i read anyways
