Audio Issues with HBO Max and Apple TV+ on Nvidia Shield

I am using a Nvidia Shield with my C4 system.  The Shield is running Android TV SW version 9.0.2 (33.1.0.301).  Until recently, I appeared to be unimpacted by all of the issues associated with Nvidia's recent updates to the Shield.  However, I now have audio issues with using the HBO Max and Apple TV+ apps installed on the Shield.  The video is fine but the audio is nothing but crackling and static.  Interestingly, the problem is only with these two apps.  I also have Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and ShowtimeAnytime installed on the Shield and have experienced no issues when using these apps.  I have reached out to Nvidia to see if this is a known issue and/or whether the fix is being driven by Nvidia or the app developer, but have received no response yet. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Thanks for the feedback.  Can you tell me what model Shields you have and what software version you running on them?  When I installed the initial update from Nvidia, I had no issues.  Then about a month afterwards, the audio issues with HBO Max and Apple TV+ surfaced.  Nothing changed with the configuration of my C4 system.  That leaves me wondering whether Nvidia pushed out a "hotfix" or something else which was automatically installed on my Shield and doesn't want to play nice with HBO Max and Apple TV+.
