C4GeekDamon
OK so lets say I came across a 16 channel amp(dont ask, dont tell:D ) ,but I dont have a controller at the moment. Can I use that amp like any other multi-channel amp and hook it up to my homerun wires from my V/C's and distribute it from the Zone 2 output of my Denon? jberger
Hmmm, I don't think so, but I've never tried it. You probably got a smokin' deal on v1/v2 AMP would be my guess. Be warned there is a reason those sell cheap. Unless you could find a way to lock all of the inputs/outputs once, then have them stay locked without a connection to director, I don't think it will work. ILoveC4
Even if you could do that, how would you adjust the volume?I can't see it working without something a Director telling it what to do. jberger is much more knowledgeable than I am on this stuff though. If you wanted to though I would imagine you could buy an HTC or HC200 cheap and let that run director. jberger
I assumed he was going to use in wall volume knobs (shutter) and just use the C16 as a standard amp.
