wingzz
I woke up this morning and the C4 Thermostat was flashing, at least the LCD was. and I could not change anything on the thermostat via the keypad or from any remoteit has a common wire and I thought I had the switch set to no power stealing, took it off the wall and changed the switch to power stealing and it seemed to stop and now will operate the furnaceWhat position should that switch be in?any idea why it would start flashing like that all of a sudden??does anyone have a PDF of the instruction sheet that came with the Stat?? I can't seem to find mine
henniae
If the t-stat has a common wire it should have power stealing disabled. In a situation like the one you described I would reboot the t-stat.1. Remove t-stat from wall2. Remove battery3. Let t-stat sit for about a minute4. Put battery back in5. Put t-stat back on the wall

wingzz
Google time + download time + posting time= 45 sec.only it was the wiring PDF I was looking for, I could find the one you listed easily but I can't find the one that shows the different ways to wire it inI should have made that more clear in my first post, sorry about thatHennine, I tried that and it still flashes when I place the switch in the disabled position, it runs fine in enabled position with no battery installedI just thought of something I installed the pull up resistor in the furnace (last summer when I tried power stealing then), I wonder if that is causing the flashing?? poscash3757
Smoking hot in NY... I have had two t-stats installed in March of 09. The worked fine until this week. All of a sudden they are out of sorts.. The set point is set to 72 however the temp is 75. this is happening on both t- stats with two separate burners. I took and independent stat and checked for accuracy and it is actually 75 degrees.I checked for over and under shot and the setting is at 0. I removed the thermostats and pulled the battery. No luck. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Matt
