Changes to BBC Radio on TuneIn

The BBC are announcing the cessation of streaming services (again) on TuneIn

@Alanchow mentioned some licencing issues with a driver, but I wondered what other options there could be to provide streams?

Shairbridge etc isn't really a very good option to be offering these days (IMO)

You can still listen to BBC stations using the Tunein driver, Control4 is not on the list of affected devices

You can at the moment, but they are playing out messages warning of impending doom in 2023.

Do you have intell, that Tunein and Control4 will be keeping their streams?

Are you sure you’re using the TuneIn driver? I’m not hearing these messages, I listen to 6music most of the time.

if you are using TuneIn driver check it’s up to date.

Is BBC radio stations still working via tune in driver for others?  I believe I have the latest driver version but was receiving the messages about it stopping working and now it indeed no longer works.

Used to work. Not sure what is the status now, I don’t use TuneIn for months now, I managed to add BBC Sounds App to my setup via Ovation Player, didn’t look back ever since

Thankfully having just tried again it seems BBC radio stations are now available again via TuneIn on Control4 for anyone else with this issue!
