Rhapsody Won't Playback...

Recommended Posts

Howdy... my Rhapsody was was working fine until recently. Then suddenly, I started to receive errors in the Diagonstic Log File when Audio/Video streaming is checked.

I haven't made ANY changes and FIRED my Dealer log ago (Digital Innovations, Spring Grove, IL - the guy is a crook and doesn't know very much about the technical aspect of the products he sells).

Any ideas as to what this may be a result of?:|

SOHO - you have the same attitude my old dealer had... smug and arrogant...

Rhapsody was working fine during the holidays and suddenly stopped working sometime in Jan.

Rhapsody works fine on my PC and I can play MP3's on my system. After noticing an errors in the Log file I thought it might provide enough information to make a suggestion, that's all I asked...

WOW, I know the Codeman personally and he is not arrogant. He was trying to ask questions to further help you, but apparently you don't want the help. He's on here helping others for free, but it's attitudes like yours that run off the helpful ones. Instead of answering his question which would help him give a good answer to your problem, you wasted his time by name calling.

pharmdsmith -

Funny, that is exactly how I interpreted codemans reply.... "but it's attitudes like yours that run off the helpful ones."

I posed a question that didn't need a smart a$$ remark.... "You don't find it possible that in a year and a half something would have changed?"

Rhapsody worked a month ago. There were no changes that I am aware on what I control. Rhapsody just suddenly stopped working.

" You should know better being on this forum than to think that"... Don't you find this a bit sarcatic?

I asked a question and posted what I thought was relevant information, a log file with an error message.

If more information is required, I am glad to answer questions that may resolve the issue.

I think you are misunderstanding the posts. Codeman asked what your setup was, controlfouruserguy responded with a link to a year and a half old post showing your setup. Codeman then responded to controlfouruserguy telling him he should know better that your setup could have easily changed since the 1+ year old post, not you. The 2 of them were joking with each other while at the same time trying to help you. Codeman seriously wants to know if any of your setup has changed since the old post.

Hooch,

I'm sorry you feel that way, and perhaps my comments to a friend of mine, "controlfouruserguy", were interpreted by you incorrectly. I had no intentions of offending you.

We all know that people change things and ideas rapidly on this forum, it's part of the fun and excitement of having a tech hobby. Look at "wappinghigh" and his media center thread or adventures with Sonos and Mac and Control4 audio.

Anyway, yes I wanted more information about your network setup - what equipment you have and what it's topology is. I know you had issues with your router in the past and didn't have battery backup on some things, so it was a fair question. If you give us as much information as possible, maybe we can help you solve your problem without paying for a dealer to come on site. If you'd like for me to stay out of your threads then that's fine as well.
