diamonddesign
If Savant dealers will be able to resell iPads then Control4 should be able to set up a similar program.
GoGo Delicious
If Savant dealers will be able to resell iPads then Control4 should be able to set up a similar program. You are missing a key point. Savant is an Apple Authorized Reseller and is also a member of Apple's Proprietary Solutions Provider Program which allows Savant dealers to resell iPads. Control4 is neither an Apple Authorized Reseller nor a member of Apple's Proprietary Solutions Provider Program. Thus the inability for C4 dealers to re-sell Apple iPads. In order for C4 to become a reseller, Control4 will have to come out with a product that is based on Apple software, namely OS X, which the Apple's Proprietary Solutions Provider Program is based upon. John Kotches
Also Savant products (while truly awesome) are in an altogether different price category.
jberger
Why would you want to buy an iPad from Control4? There is virtually no margin in the devices for a reseller and if they had it as an SKU it would need to have margin to cover the C4 costs and Dealer Margin too. It's much cheaper as a standalone SKU with mobile nav license.
