chamador
Another wiring question. If I have multiple controllers in the house, how do they communicate with each other. Is it via Zig Bee or do they need to be hardwired. If it is ZB mesh then is there a maximum distance they can be separated? Is it via my wireless network in the house?I will have 1 hc300 and 4 hc200 in house.Basic questions but I just cant seem to find answers elsewhere....... crazybuppie
All controllers communicate over ethernet. Zigbee is for remotes, tstats, lighting and keypads.
chamador
I will be putting 2 computers/5 controllers and 3 Blurays on same network. Is there a recommended router for C4 to accomodate this? Would I then just add a WAP to the LAN to complete the network for control4?
ILoveC4
Get a good wireless router and place out between your modem and your network switch.

chamador
Thank you for comments!Actually, the way the system is being designed the modem will connect to network router which will connect to several devices on one side of the house (desktop, controller, bluray). There will then be a long run to a network switch on the other side of the house. From that switch we will connect to multiple controllers as well as a WAP.
