does control 4 do intercom system throught the 4" touch panel or the new 7" infinity edge screens? and if so, does it come out of the keypad itself or the speakers?

Intercom only works with the infinityedge screens at this time. The audio comes out of the speaker on the touchpanel.

I have not. But we were told years ago that intercom would come to the other panels and it hasn't. Who knows.

The word as i understand it is that we should not expect the intercom to be available on any legacy touch panels ever.

it's true. I heard long ago that it was a hardware issue. but that was long ago. but it is currently true that we can expect no further development on the mts in any fashion, and with the old 7" we will only see updates to navigation.

This has been publicly stated by control4 on a couple of occasions. If i can find the write up or article i read i will post it.
