waynec
Has anyone tried to integrate IP camera's into C4, so that for example, you can pull up this on the screen to see the driveway, or baby room? I am using Panasonic IP Cameras
Kirill
i guess the best way to do it is thru PC connected to matrix switcher and switcher to TVs
R_Willis
One of the MOST important aspects of the system I'm waiting on support for. Control4 seems to be in no hurry to support this however. :-(....and as expensive as IP cameras are, especially outdoor ones, most people should probably consider using something like a Axis IP video server with regular composite cameras. (that's my plan)

danlevine
Integrating IP cameras into C4 is not possible. We have found that actually using CCTV cameras into a DVR is a better solution than using IP cameras into an NVR for analog distribution.Dan
R_Willis
Integrating IP cameras into C4 is not possible.I know there is no support currently. Are you saying there NEVER will be for IP cameras?
RyanE
Never say never. There is currently no support for IP Cameras in the released version of the product. We don't pre-announce drivers or product that we will support, but I suspect we'll support them at some point. It only makes sense.RyanE
Khoi
I was at Control4 headquaters and they are working on IP cameras, they were showing us a Touch Panel controlling a camera from japan, full panning and zooming. Good Stuff Hmm, come to think of it. Did they tell me not to say anything...... I don't remember lol.
RyanE
No, we actually demoed it at CES the second week of January, at which point it was made public that we will have support for it in the next version. If you'll notice, the posts that say we don't do that yet were in December...Yeah, I demoed it to you.RyanE
