Samsung UD55E-b is the model. we have 20 of these to put in as 5 video walls. I am having a difficult time figuring out how to calculate the checksum. (Newbie here)
was told there was driver for these displays and that the command protocol hasn't changed in 10 years on these devices. ANYONE?
install is 15 days away. need to prove this works or SPLAT, Egg on my face
attached is the command protocol from samsung.
need only ON-OFF-HDMI 1-HDMI 2-VGA-DP-DVI-Discreet Volume if possible-
Also looks like it can be controlled via ip as well.
THANK YOU!link is for entire doc and attached is the relevant pages

We have control of these via IP and Serial, was custom built for a project. Let us know if you still need a solution.

The driver is available for purchase on the website for dealers.

What Control4 version are you running?
Are these six button keypads the old 2 wide 3 high version?

To the Annex4 guys - can you clarify what functionality this driver gives you? Which of the following does it give you:
- IR ports
- Relay/contact connectivity
- Serial connectivity
- Audio outputs - with the caveat that there is no Advanced Audio.
- Navigator UI via Component or composite.
Even if it gives you any of 1, 2 or 3 it is a cheap way to do that, assuming that you get can get one for under $50.
I wouldn't bother going to track down cheap controllers online. If you have and need to buy time before upgrading ok use it. But to start looking for controllers that are cheap to use this is pointless. Willing to bet Control4 gets rid of this in the next few releases.

1,2,3,4 (but you don't get advanced audio) you have to try 5 for yourself. I wouldn't even want to run slow navigator from an HC-300 even if it works it isn't a good user experience.

It doesn't do anything.
What is there to be scared about? Worst case you would recover the controller if it failed badly. Best case it updates. Reality it does nothing and stays at 2.9.1

Which Gen HC-300 do you have?
-
The system will update regardless of the HC-300 not. I have done it as well as others. It won't even say update failed for the 300. It just doesn't update.
If you are getting failed to update driver are you sure the error pertains to the HC-300.
Also this isn't a 3rd party driver really. It's the generic controller driver with the search tag modified to ID a 300 via SDDP.
Use the Generic driver if you want but you then need to ID via IP.
I've had updates hang that had nothing to do with even having an HC-300 in the project. Sometimes it just didn't start director after and manually starting it lets everything else complete.
Now you can update without and ID later or do it before. In your case you may have other issues and want to add the HC-300 after.
Also be aware you likely aren't going to get support from C4, even if you use just the generic driver. If you need support you might have to remove in order to get your issue looked at.
Again this isn't 3rd Party, just something you can try, but should know that you are likely not supported in any way.

As the title states I found a driver on here last night so I dusted off my old hc-200 and added it to my system to control my living rm.
The driver was added and I was able to connect the hc-200 to the system but I am getting no control.
Any help is appreciated
What does getting no control mean?
You said you are able to connect what does that mean? You have ID'd it?
What are you trying to use? What have you connected?
What HC-200 do you have the Gen1 or Gen2?

My understanding was that this particular amp was a "dumb" amp - it really only has RCA inputs, sensitivity knob, Stereo/line in vs global selector and a bridge selector per zone. No ethernet connection, nothing that would make it be "special".... Am I mistaken?
Are you sure you have the right part #? The C416AMP3B doesn't have global inputs.

Confirm you have the correct MAC address in the driver and not the old WiFi one.

If your TVs are properly setup with static IPs the traffic should traverse the switch and have nothing to do with the router. LG hasn't removed WOL, the setting on the new TVs states WOL over wireless, but enabling does both.
It think you should talk to your dealer about some proper troubleshooting and see what has changed.

I've been pretty disappointed with the Doorbird so far. The app is okay, although I have had issues where they're gone before I get the notification - usually when I'm out of the house. However, the biggest disappointment is how unreliable it's been with the touchscreens. For a while, when initially set up, when you pressed the button, the touchscreens would ring and show up video right away. However, it was less than a day before this stopped working. Eventually, my installer got it working again, but it also stopped working again the same day. Currently, it almost never works. Not sure if it's the driver or something else, but the doorbird is hard wired and seems to be setup properly in C4.
Which driver are you using?

I had my Control4 installer here yesterday and he mentioned that Control4 will be sending out their new 3.0 updates out before CES comes at the end of September. Anyone else hear about this? I haven't found any news of it on the web...
Just want to see if others have heard of this.
If you are expecting version 3.0 you will be very disappointed.

If the TV loses power it won't turn back on, the webserver in the TV doesn't start back up until powered on manually.

I got a response from Samsung directly, admitting that the firmware is not yet available in Canada. They expect it to be released in September sometime.
Who at Samsung told you this?

The Dresden controllers are great and work with a Phillips Hue bridge and are super compact.
