AVPro probably has an IP controllable one I would imagine.
I thought about using my AVPro matrix but it’s a little big for a dresser

I’m going to be short on HDMI ports in a room. Is there a Control4 supported 4K HDMI switch I can put some lesser used sources on to connect to an HDMI input on a TV?
I can find lots of options but none so far with a C4 driver.
-
Thanks. I’m seeing some strangeness if a mini driver is selected and then the source is paused for a while with pass through on (control drops from the Roku to the TV) so will try running with it off, especially if all I’m losing is just an icon in the gui.
-
I know passthru shows the icon of the selected minidriver on the C4 GUI rather than the Roku icon.
what else does it do?
Trying to figure out some Roku and TV control issues that I don’t know enough about yet to describe accurately. (I thought I had it figured out but was wrong)
-
Thanks. My dealer told me to look under Preferences and there it was. Everything was fine once I enabled control.

I am using the 3/20/24 version of the iOS C4 app and cannot figure out how to set up/enable Apple TV control. I know I have seen in in earlier versions of the app with a different project but this layout looks very different and I can’t find Apple TV control in any menu/submenu.
Any guidance appreciated.

It's a global/Roku Firmware issue, and isn't actually an issue on Control4's side. Roku likely haven't deployed/completed the fix yet.
Other platforms are also affected.
Once deployed by Roku, it should start working again and no action should be required by yourself or your installer
I understand all that. I’m a former programmer. It just doesn’t make sense that if code wax pushed to fix the issue then something would be pushed to break it again. Unlike a few days ago where I tried a factory reset I did nothing this cycle. I’ll wait a few days but I’ll only wait so long for Roku to stabilize.
I’m just glad there are some on this site that have some info. I can’t imagine being an average C4 customer and having function that worked without issue for years just flat out stop. And I’ll bet that most of those folks think “Control4 stopped working” and not “Roku broke something” so it’s Control4 that gets the black eye.

My Roku started working again yesterday. Today broken again. Any ideas?

I have both a NVIDIA Shield TV Pro and a Roku Ultra hooked up to a Sony A95L TV.
Don’t have a lot of experience with either. Assuming I don’t care about playing games on the Shield - Which is better for streaming and PQ?
I probably don’t need both so looking on recommendations on which to keep.
-
Hope it comes soon. A factory reset didn’t even work for 24 hours. ;/
-
Mine still isn’t working. Is there a way to have Roku check?
Edit: just for grins I went through the hassle of doing a factory reset. I’ve regained C4 control. Hoping it sticks more than 24 hours.

I can confirm the one unit i personally had impacted is resolved as of this morning!
Was there a software update? Did you have to reboot or was it simply working again?
-
Here is what Roku has said. No indication of an ETA for a fix.

Roku has acknowledged the issue and correction expected by end of the week.
Where do you see this?
-
Damn. My Roku Ultimate broke today. I thought I had dodged a bullet. Thank goodness I remembered where the Roku remote was now that my super expensive Halo remotes are neutered.
-
I have a Sony A95L TV. There is a back button (like a backwards C arrow) that isn’t apparently mapped to either the “Back” or “Prev” button on the Halo remote or the “Back” button on the TV navigator screen. This button is key to almost every app on the TV.
How do I get this button to be recognized by C4? I presume that would involve an update to the Sony TV driver by C4 or a custom version of it.

the lose of control of Roku devices...
Oh. This must not be universal because mine is working fine.
-
Ok - figured it out.
For anyone wanting to do the same thing - use room variable CURRENT_SELECTED_DEVICE instead. That gives you the proxy ID of the driver you want. Then write some code to set the the name of the source/app.
-
Turns out the first 3 digits of CURRENT_MEDIA_INFO is the Proxy ID of the driver I want to identify. Where can I find that?
The Chowmain Variable Manipulator driver cannot take the PARAM{} value and turn it into either a 5 digit string or a number which is frustrating since the Events driver properly prints the number.
-
Damn. I can read CURRENT_MEDIA_INFO but I can’t use it to set a variable. Any reason C4 wouldn’t expose this? I can print the value in the Chowmain Events driver using PARAM{} - is there some way to assign that to a variable?
-
I am trying to find a way to determine when mini drivers are detected. I’ve found that the power on/off variables in the minidrivers never change so they aren’t useful.
i would like to trigger code off application ID but the only place I see those is in Roku debug log and the Roku driver surprisingly does not expose that value (or name of selected app).
There is a CURRENT_MEDIA_INFO Room variable that changes when a source is selected. This seems to be a 5 digit number ending in 00. I’m trying to figure out if this number is unique to the project or unique to the actual source? I have two Max mini-drivers (one to a TV, one to Roku), each with a different number.
I want to be able to do programming based on which streaming source is selected (e.g. navigate to select profiles, etc) but I need a definitive way to identify if I’m on mlbtv, Hulu or Netflix …

Control4 is aware of the problem, it started Friday and as far as they can tell it's a Roku problem...
What exactly is the problem Control4 is tracking?

Has anyone got a mini driver that launches CNN Max within the Max service? Is that even possible? The Max mini driver launches fine but I would like to be able to launch the CNN Max livestream directly without having to navigate to it.
-
Does anyone have MLB working on a Sony A95L TV? All the other mini-drivers I’m using trigger the related native TV app except MLB.
the only thing that I can see that’s different is that the MLB ap is not on the top of the Your apps screen but it’s down one level under “See All”
‘I would really hate to hook up a Roku box just so I can use MLB.TV
on a related note - is there a mini app for Bravia Core?
‘Thanks in advance for any help.
Is there a 4x1 4k HDMI Switch with a Control4 driver?

I wouldn’t need an IR transmitter for the Binary if I used IR from a Triad SA1 to control it, right?
