Hi

i am looking for an integrator , specifically for optimising my C4 installation with my HTPC , Trinnov and a Shield .

My Setup is as follows : HTPC running Kodi (works already with C4) . The player used in Kodi is MPC-BE (not working with C4)  - that would be the first issue to address. The AV Processor is a Trinnov connected to a Sony 790 Beamer.

I acquired today also a Nvidia Shield , which i would like to have configured as well with Netflix , Prime .

My Lighting is Philips Hue , if you have any Tipps or tricks to have it a bit more fancy, i'm all ears

To do this I went into the keymap editor addon, then edit then full screen video, then Browser back then you have 5 seconds to press the key you want on the remote. The last step is to go back to the first page of the adding and save config.

Hopefully that gives you an idea of how to get it going, 

 

Strange , that's what i did....

The only other option that could explain it , would be in the System settings of Kodi , and it has something to do with Fullscreen or Window. What do you have there ?

Tried it and can't get it to work. My opinion is it won't work since Kodi is opening a "new window" to play the MPC-BE player which is not linked to Kodi somehow , as it uses it's own controls.

Have you tried to get it to work ?

i am using Kodi on a HTPC. The reason why i am doing this on an HTPC and not on a Streaming Device is because i need Madvr to work.

Now since Kodi isn't supporting DS Player anymore , i will need to switch to MPC-BE. In order to control if (Play , Stop, Pause , etc..) I will need to send Key Press to to Kodi.

I already have the KODI Driver from Chowmain. What i would need is the "normal" Kodi Buttons to work while in the GUI of Kodi , and while starting a Movie , MPC-BE starts up , and Play/Pause needs to mapped to "Space" and Stop to "X" (for example).

More importantly though to add Specific Commands like "S" to enable subtitles or so ....

Is this possible to configure that on the NEEO Remote ? or with an additional driver ?

i have issues with my NEEO that it looses quite often the Wifi Connectivity , even though the WIFI coverage is good. The exact same thing happens to a friend of mine.

Is anyone else experiencing that ? and do you know of a workaround ?

Have you tried press and hold and see what that does. Or try a new skin perhaps arctic zephyr 2 (remember to clear keymap editor to see if it’ll work).

For example I have Kodi on an Nvidia Shield and Apple TV. On the Nvidia shield I have Kodi 17.5 using Arctic zephyr 2.0 and the ok button works as you want on in neeo remote in that once the movie starts you press ok it’ll pause the movie and bring up the osd to do play/pause/subtitles/vide/audio etc. On the Apple TV however which in on 17.2 with Arctic zephyr 1 to get the osd to pop up, you have to press ok which pauses the movie then press the up arrow to get the osd.

But you are right, it's not the Menu but the On Screen Display.

There has to be some sort of way to press that OK button and have it pop up.

Right now i am using the GUIDE menu on the NEEO to have it pop up.  It's already a pitty i have to say that it is impossible to rename those Buttons you create on the Neeo Screen.

The first isn't a bug, nor should you use that button for that function (because you wouldn't be able to select anything anymore).

ok so in the Kodi menu , i can go left right up down. No issues. I can also go to a movie and press the OK/Select button and the movie starts.

Once the movie has started though . the OK/Select Button is not working anymore. On other remotes , like the harmony for instance , you could still use the OK / Select button to pop up the Kodi Menu to change Subttitles, press play , pause , stop , fast forward , change languages , audio , etc...

that's what's not working.

i already have that now .... would be cooler though to be able to use the menu button , i need the red blue green yellow button for other stuff.

But the OK Button from the Remote NEEO can not be used for the Menu button.

no , i just need to control Kodi . But i haven't found a way to press for example the OK button on the NEEO so it shows the Menu while playing a movie. I thought it would be able to do via the IRUSB . But now i know it doesn't work

yes , Philips Hue strips. Go up to 10m . a bit more expensive but works.

mmmh , I don't know much about DMX....  i thought i could use just any Zigbee LED Controller to use with C4.

I would like to add a 40ft (12m)  LED Stripe to my config.

Which LED's or which hardware setup including driver would you recommend ? 

Most LED stripes can be used up to a max of 33ft (10m).

tbh, what does Kodi 18 have more that's really worth it ? not much ...

I just hope DS Player comes back in Kodi 19. 
But that still leaves us with the commands of Madvr

@enzeder i currently have the exact same probs. also vor Madvr and MPC-BE . But for the time being i prefer to use DS Player , works better atm.

i have alan's Kodi Driver installed. I have however a few questions / issues regarding the button configuration : 

- I mapped the Hard Buttons on the NEEO Remote up down left right to match fast forward (right) reverse (left) skip forward (up) and backwards (down) . That works perfect. However if i hit the MENU button in Kodi when a Movie is playing (to change subtitles for example) when i want to scroll around with the hardcoded buttons , the movie fast forwards, rewinds etc... when i move around the menu.

Does anyone have a solution to this ? 

Also the new Yamaha Driver has been added to my system and the Volume Buttons work as expected. I would like to use the INFO Button = Display on the Yamaha AVR in my Kodi Configuration . However the NEEO has no Hard INFO Button , and the Yamaha Driver does not have any INFO / Display Variables. Any clue how i could solve this ? map the Button on to the Blue Button for example ?

i have a Homecinema which C4 is supposed to control. Pretty much every thing works , with a few small improvements to make . I have one device though which is giving me a headache. My 3 Minidsp's . The minidsp is a Soundprocessor used to change the measurement of the room . Basically it's something that is only used to change in some situations

The Minidsp is always ON . It has just a few functions. Volume UP and Down , Preset 1-4 and Filter On and Off. That's all.  

My installer learned the commands of the Remote via Infrared. No issue there. However the way i can control it i am not to satisfied about. Right now i have to change rooms to control it. Which is not really the optimal. mainly because the Volume up and down is already used by the Yamaha AVR. 

and the Menu of the Minidsp now also shows the play pause etc... buttons which i don't need and don't care. How would you solve this ? what could you give me as an option ?

You should be running OS 3.1.0.  You can find the version of Control by going to settings and selecting your system in the mobile app

yes , that's what i figured. No then it's correct . i am on 3.1. just the driver was for 2.7.2
