I am trying to accesss my RK-1 and the phone with the user name and password crashed and after restoring the most recent back up to a new phone the password is not working.

Isn't there a way to access the unit through the console port?

I don't want to have to factory default the unit, any help would be appreciated.

I wouldnt give my c4 equipment to my worst enemy, if I were building a new house it is the last thing I would buy. It should be called controlU because thats what it does lol.

Strange, the one I got is 1.04 and I am pretty sure it was 2018.  I updated it and it took.

How do I get the Composer Home Edition?  I read about it a while back and since I can't get any consistent help from local dealers maybe I can get some of the silly simple stuff done myself.

I didn't realize that was different than the place where I can login and add or remove users and do the if/then/when stuff.

I have a sx-8p and am looking for the current firmware.

My pakedge access point told me when the firmware wasnt current but I dont see that option on the switch and the current firmware is 2017.

Is that information only available to c4 dealers as I have not found the answer on google thus far.

Is this done instead of using an NK-1?  Or is this acting more like a mesh network and two wk-2's with an NK-1 will be night and day different?

Do you have any idea how these two pieces of equipment run as far as the wireless, does the wr-1 have decent range? i know it doesnt have the speed the wk does. Is the wk-1 a better match for the wr as far as seemless interaction?

Does anyone know where there is a list of the C4  and Pakedge Hardware Retail Pricing?  I know there is a lot of mark up in the Pakedge products so its hard to tell what the price is of new items.  Ebay literally has brand new items at one price with one seller and twice the price with another.

I am watching the cameras through the control4 app now. If you kill the one port forward I think its 80 then you lose the ability to see the cameras outside the house

when you kill port forwards 67 and 68 you lose the ability to see control4 outside the house entirely. Error 401

this is set up wrong?

In other words i read one thing that says no port forwards no way no how then i read oh wait unless you are doing it this other way. 

You lost me but if I was using snap app then i would only see cameras when going straight to app or when i go to control4 remotly i can choose the security icon and the cameras will display. In the second scenario if this is case then c4 would be linking to the snap app to get the cameras feed?

DVR is older SnapAV,  Yes 4sight.

I figured, the IT guy works with extremely high end clients while the control4 dealers guy has an engineering degree but is weak in the IT department.

Now my network shows vmware on what appears to be the dvr and coincidentally the port 80 shows as open on my scan and 67 and 68 show as port forwaded.

My Xfinity system does the job for my simple house and life, I dont need anything elaborate I just need it set up right.

anyone know a good dealer that can do remote work? Sofl is not best place for getting anything done professionally.
