  1. Customer is switching from Xfinity, they have directv at their other locations, they want it here but do not want the sat outside. ATT fiber to home, ordered directv stream and the gemini air devices.

Anyone have experience in integrating the gemini air devices into c4? (neo, sr260 remotes, ea5) Main things are channel search via number pad, and quick channel launch via favorites?

Get directv stream. We install them locally and we can ship them as well. They are great boxes and will give you a traditional cable tv experience even letting you type in the channels numbers, and full guide functionality as well. We also can program it all in Control4 as well so as far as anyone is concerned they are using a regular directv box.

Install them locally and can ship them? Is it a special device or are you sending like an apple tv or roku?

Is this EA3 upgraded to OS3.x from OS2, by any chance? If the update was done one time without properly taking it step by step, EA ZB will not work properly and symptoms will be exactly as you described.

Depending on the area if its noisy or not WiFi to be on 6 while ZB is on 25, this would take care of the interference!

Both came with os3 on them, existing ea3 had all zigbee working on it, then it stopped

also 2.4 spectrum interference is far broader than printers and neighbors wifi. This is interference you cannot simply use a wifi analyzer app for this.  For a good zigbee mesh you want to have at least 4-5 nodes and no more than 15ft apart.

For testing, I have disabled any 2.4ghz wifi, and stood within 5 foot of the controller with both zigbee devices. It will not add to existing ea3, boot up brand new ea3, both will add to system.

this is a very small and likely weak Zigbee mesh. you essentially have one device that is capable of extending the mesh and my assumption its hidden behind something and the ea3 is also stuff in something. Then if you add other wireless interference it is very likely it may not be reliable even though it is working for the moment. Make sure your Zigbee and wifi are separated and that the ZigBee devices have the best line of sight or add some more Zigbee node devices to strengthen the network. Light switches are the best for this and give you more automation options as well.

Ea3 is on the shelf of the entertainment system, one room over. Took the sr260 remote straight to the controller and it would not add into system. Only one access point, I have 2.4 channels separated. 10 acres separates from closest neighbor, not seeing printer wifi broadcasting either. I manually set the 2.4ghz to channel 1 and zigbee is on ch11. The z210 was only for ir control not used to extend network.

  6. Hey, Site has EA3 with 1 CRZ2IO, a sr260, neo and Halo. the Neo, Halo work just fine (everything they control is IP. the SR260 controls 2 IR devices, and 1 IP device (IP device works flawless).

Looked at zigbee health, the CRZ210 showed great signal but was in critical condition (520 failures an hour), the sr260 would just not respond, tried power cycle, re-address to controller, then factory resetting. no change.

Facrtory reset the controller, any zigbee device will not add into the system, get to enrollment screen and no matter what I do no device will enroll, grabbed a brand new sr260 and z2io, same thing.

    Any ideas?

    Just to be sure:

    Are they wired

Are they identified by simply entering the IP addresses. No more no less

Are the MACs in the drivers, and are they the correct ones (ie the the proper wired MAC not the WiFi MAC

    Are they paired properly.

They are wired, wifi is not connected.

Static at tv and reserved in router, no conflict with another ip address.

In the network tab they are set via ip not sddp, before removing ssdp mac I verified ip address was correct.

    They are paired properly

  8. Every Samsung on this site reacts very similar. Sometimes they will bootup on scene start immediately, sometimes they have 10+ power retries. Sometimes when powering off they go right off, other times, they will act like they power off with the screen showing so, then tv will turn back on, have to start a scene and power off a scene to turn off after that.

All this will happen even if giving a tv 45+ seconds after powering off.  Or even 5 minutes.

Attached is one of the rooms tv settings, and its Lua output.

Also, why is it sending input commands when it has no confirmation of powering on?

How can I get the tv to respond better on ip commands?

Tv is static ip, in network it is also static without Mac address. Have tried with both, have tried with one of each.

Tvs are all 2022 samsung frames, ranging from 43"-85"

  9. Hello, maybe someone can point me to the issue solving correction!

Setup is Nvidia Shield - Samsung Frame - Sonos Ray Soundbar

    Connections -

Shieled HDMI Output - Samsung TV = (Video Endpoint to tv)

Samsung TV Optical Output to - Sonos Ray Optical input

Control - Halo and Neo Remote

Before adding the Sonos Ray everything functioned and was controlled through the remotes

added the Sonos Ray through Sddp, IP address is correct, it shows online in network tab.

I get no control with the remotes in regards to volume up/down, mute. When pushing said buttons, Optical output image displays on tv, but no change of state via Sonos. (I can control volume through Sonos app).

I'm assuming I am missing a connection or something - Documentation was stating I should only need the optical connection, no other audio/video audio endpoints needed, unless I am misunderstanding.

I was able to go into programming and assign when volume is pressed pulse volume up, same thing for volume down, and set a volume toggle, which those programming commands work on the Sonos Ray. I get no feedback on the remotes screen as to the volume level, and the optical image still appears on the tv. <- this was just a workaround for the time being, I assume theres a better way to integrate this into the system, and get smart feedback at least on the remote for volume control and get rid of optical flash on screen?

  10. Been having trouble with Samsung Frame with IP commands, i have it assigned via IP, there is sometimes long delay in power up sometimes withing a few seconds, but when setting a watch scene, frame will boot up, and then only sometimes switch to the proper input. otherwise it uses last input before powering down. if i select the input its on i can run that scene, then i can start a different watch scene and it will change to proper input.

"unknownmac" issue? Identify them via their IP instead. Well after checking if the mac address in the driver is not the wrong one.

in connections - network - when powered off they show not addressed.

can power the tv back on for a watch scene, will then show the correct IP and Mac address. Will not launch the correct input on start of watch scene, will use last used input, after switching to that device via the remote, it will control that device, then i can start a different watch scene and it will swap inputs as intended
