stockwizard1000
Long story short...internet went down, reset everything and i held down the reset button on my router too long. It completely reset and now, the DHCP reservation i had set up for the Hopper to talk to the 800 Controller through the wireless router is gone. It worked beautifully when i figured this out over 12 months ago, but now, I'm back to the same problem. I can get into the router through the router IP. When i create a DHCP reservation, it will not allow me to change the IP address of the Hopper? I think i need to match the Hopper's IP address with the 800 controller to make it work, but i cannot change the address? Please help!! stockwizard1000
Is this the new 2.6 driver? So when my control4 dealer installs that update, it will fix the DISH hopper dropped connections when the wireless router gets reset? Thanks!Dustin
stockwizard1000
Also, what is the solution until the dealer comes out? How do I get it to go back to what it was? Setting the DCHP reservation?

AceOfSpades
I have this issue on one of my Hoppers when Dish send an update, it disables the Control4 Automation on the Receiver. Thus I have to locate my Dish Remote and re-enable under Settings. I have been too lazy to contact Dish to get replaced and/or troubleshoot. alf1096
Does the dish hopper/Joey driver support power on and off. I am running into problems with direct tv because you have 4 tuners and I have 3 tvs and the direct tv driver does not allow me to power off the boxs so they are always using a tuner. I am running into problems with direct tv because you have 4 tuners and I have 3 tvs and the direct tv driver does not allow me to power off the boxs so they are always using a tuner.the gene minis do not support on/ off or power toggle. You can bypass this if you can get ir control by any means. The dish system seems to be reliable and easy. but no user feedback on channels like the directv version
alf1096
Thanks I knew the DirecTV did not support the power because that's what I have now I will probably go back to dish when I'm out of contract just wanted to make sure the driver was stable. illcrx
I am running into this issue as well, the client reset his Dish boxes and Control4 doesnt have control of them anymore. liv4muddin
I had the problem when I reset my dish also. The problem was the IP address of the dish had changed from what was set to be controlled in control 4. That's your fix.
RyanE
You should identify the Dish Hopper with SDDP, then it will continue to work even if it receives a different IP address. RyanE
