AceOfSpades
I have a HC200 that is set as the ZP Coordinator. I am replacing this controller with a HC250. 1. If I remove the HC200 from the network, does another controller takes over the role as the ZP Coordinator? 2. If not, how do I configure another Controller as the ZP Coordinator? I have seen post where everyone stated that I will have to rejoin all the devices to the mesh through the new ZP Coordinator. Thanks in advance. RyanE
This is a bit more complicated to explain than I would typically do in a post.1) Yes, the HC250 could do that just fine.2) ZigBee setup is accessed via the property page of any of the controllers in the project.3) Yes, if you replace the coordinator, all nodes will have to re-join the mesh with the new coordinator. It's not all that bad, as they don't have to be re-identified, but just join the new mesh, which you typically do by putting the mesh into join mode, and tapping each device (sending 'join' on each device). It doesn't require having the identify dialog open for each device. That said, I'd recommend a dealer do this. As the join process doesn't require an identify, it goes pretty quick.RyanE
