Why anyone would want a device/OS that is basically a glorified web browser / app player not sure but I do know that itunes for the ipod ensured I won't be trying another Apple product for a long time. Now they announced iphone 5 that changes the adapter cord but of course they've "sold out" of preorders as usual. Part of their marketing strategy is to always sell out of preorders. If you're running a 1000, it isnt an issue.That said - don't buy a license to upgrade - just get a new controller.Note that iphone and ipad are supported on 1.7.4 - other devices are not.
