biglsellstech
I have two HC1000 units, both were open box but like new. I had posted them for sale but will cancel that listing becuase I am having the same problem with both units and wondered if I could find some help here.An interested person emailed asking me what version of software the units were running, gave instructions as to how to telnet into the units, etc.The units were not found in my ip pool so I started wondering why. I removed the small access panel on the back and hooked up a display and powered them on, both of them go into Panic with the failure/Init failed : failed to mount /rootfs read-writeand then I'm left with #any clues / advice as to what I can do? I am an electronics liquidator and get all kinds of things, these came in one of my loads. Thanks all,Lawrence
RyanE
They could very well both be defective units that should've been sent in for warranty work, if they don't boot.Unfortunately, I don't know much about the HC1000, so I don't have many useful suggestions.Sorry.RyanE
Cyknight
Sounds like a full DOM failure, something that means sending to C4 for repair...which they were probably supposed to be like Ryan mentioned.
dgbrown
That's exactly what that sounds like DOM = disk on memory = known defect.
