alf1096
Ok my system works great unless I am transferring a large file from my laptop to my NAS. If I am doing this I will drop zigbee commands. I am on channel 15 zigbee (I think) and on wireless 5 ghz auto and 2.4 ghz channel 3. What Channels should give me the least interference. RyanE
Channel 25. It is out of WiFi range, on the top end. This is what we have to set ZigBee to at CEDIA and CES, as at one point in the convention center, you can see 300+ access points... RyanE
thecodeman
If you're on embernet though (1.7.4 or earlier versions of Control4), the channel mostly outside of wifi is 14 if I recall. 5GHZ wifi won't interfere as zigbee is in the 2.4 spectrum. thecodeman
Cool, glad you got it fixed. I use a utility on my Mac called inSSIDer which is really helpful for things like this. You may want to check it out, though you may not use it as much as I do being out in the field.
alf1096
Don't know if this is related but a new dimmer I added is dropping off the network. Would this be a channel interference problem. My laptop fried yesterday and am getting a new one tomorrow to trouble shoot. It should be fine with signal because it's in a box with a 6 button that works flawless. A power cycle will put it back in the mesh. Any thoughts.
