Can custom buttons and programming be copied between rooms?

I haven't seen an obvious way to copy and paste custom buttons and their programming from one room to another?   Is there any way to do that?

So far it only looks like individual script actions can be copied between rooms.

 

Any way to do this or to simply create a global set of custom buttons and programming that can populate any rooms?

You can create custom buttons that are in every room. Then the programming is universal, but there are downsides to that too.

Don't forget to use the macro agent.  Copying scripts from one room to another may be easy but what happens when you want to change that script.  You have multiple locations you need to change.  Instead, create a macro, perform your script there, and then reference the macro in your custom button.  That way all you need to do is create new buttons for each room you want.
