BrettB0727
Does anyone have a driver/hardware solution to send USB keyboard commands, perhaps with the following setup:Control4 RS232 -> USB on computer
poisenoire
There are several out there. You are looking for a keyboard emulator. If you do a search you should find a couple - a lot of them are focused for gaming machines, but I've used them to emulate keyboard commands via RS232 <> USB on several of our enterprise surveillance systems. They work great - and avoid any need to install drivers on the target system since they emulate a standard USB keyboard. This is typically a $100 item or less. nausser
Can you please point me in a direction as to what hardware and drivers are needed?Search results do not produce many details. I would like to control a security NVR box if I can establish any keyboard shortcuts.
