korupt
All of Sudden today, i came home to all my controllers saying stuck on connecting to director. After further troubleshooting i find that load average is going to 23:45:12 up 30 min, load average: 5.94, 5.12, 3.28 I remove the internet access, and perform a reboot of the HC-800, no issues. As soon as I connect the internet back, I get this load average spiking, and all my controllers going connecting to director since the director is busy due to some process busing out the CPU. Funny is CPU utilization seems fine. Has any seem the issue? I have logs when the issue is present and when not. I would greatly appreciate if some one help out. Cyknight
What dop you mean by "internet access"? Are you removing the controller from the network, turning off the modem? If it's the network you're disconnecting, you likely have some piece flooding it, causing processes to stall. Check for BTSync first and foremost, from there turn everything but the controller and the base network off, power one by one to find the culprit. korupt
Thanks CyKnight. I am disconnecting the WAN cable from the router that goes to my modem. Controller still connected to the local network, i don't have any issues. It is when i connected my WAN cable back to the router, load just spikes upto 3, and director just goes unresponsive. I could ping it, and i could ssh into it.

Cyknight
No major high loads, but I find it odd that upmand is active at all, looks like it may be trying to update/patch for some reason. Not sure when your issue started exactly, but there may be something....a little while back there was an issue with a service update, may be something with that. I was on vacation when it occurred so sketchy on the details I fear. You may need to get a dealer (on-site) and control4 tech involved.
korupt
if i factory reset my hc-800, do I have to connect to it directly or it comes up with the default IP address?
sjshoes
Hum,Same issues here. Just had dealer install new HC800 after my old controller "died". Now ever since we have not been able to connect using either our iPhones, iPads or the MyHomePC desktop apps. Interesting, dealer indicates he can connect ??? He indicated C4 Tech can also. We are able to get in ever so once in a while "IF" my iPhone or iPad is on a wifi signal only (never connects on cellular) but it is so infrequent we are finding the c4 system we paid a lot for is all but useless for the reason we bought it, at least since the new HC800 has been in. Can anyone tell me if you have same connection issues? Happens as follows:Tap the C4 appDeleted all old devices and accountsEstablish new user/device account using normal log in required infoScreen stay on the "Connecting" screen 1/2 to 1 min then says "Unable to Connect", "unable to establish connection to remote server", "please try again later". Help if you can. I've sent the debug logs to C4 service and my dealer and they don't seem to be able to find the issue.
mstafford388
if i factory reset my hc-800, do I have to connect to it directly or it comes up with the default IP address? It will switch back to dhcp. You will lose your project so make sure you can reload it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
