StroTek LLC
I dont see any HIKvision cameras that have PTZ AND night vision Why do you need PTZ ? I have found that I can normally cover any area with just a few more cameras
cannemi
It doesn't really have to be PTZ, For my back camera I have a long wall and it is nice to be able to pan left and right especially from my phone
cannemi
I was looking at http://www.amazon.com/Hikvision-DS-2CD2132-I-Fixed-Focal-Camera/dp/B00EJXK0I6
StroTek LLC
I have 2 of those... the initial setup is a pain in the butt for me with HIKvision cameras.. But then I dont need native control4 control over my cameras.. I use blue iris and its driver so there are many cheaper cameras available to me like: http://www.amazon.com/Reolink-RLC-420-2560x1440P-Outdoor-Detection/dp/B0147XLVIU/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1456255719&sr=1-3&keywords=reolink
cannemi
K great, I use Blue Iris too and copy to my DROBO NAS and it works well. I just like to be able to view the cameras from C4. At least I know it will work. Thank you

onesunnyday
is there any benefit of using one of the QNAP/ Synology Nas over say a Dell Poweredge with Blue Iris installed?
StroTek LLC
I went with the server option, since that allows me to run plex on it as well as any other server based stuff I may need.. all my cam video get saved on a NAS though
