SR-250 Stuck on Waiting for Network

Recommended Posts

I just bought 3 used SR-250 remotes on ebay and need some advice on how to get the system to identify them. All 3 remotes start with a message "Waiting for Network" when batteries are inserted. I have tried to type the MAC addresses into Composer (2.7.2), but it still doesn't identify. When you push the LIST button the remote goes directly to the Settings>Configure page (unlike the one remote I already have that's connected). If I use the 2,4,8,6,#,* command I noticed that two of the remotes are bouncing around from channel to channel. One of the remotes was locked on Channel 11. I was able to get that remote to identify after a couple of tries by pushing the red 4 button. So I suspect the problem is getting the other 2 remotes to lock on Zigbee Channel 11. How can I get the remote to lock on one Zigbee channel?

One unrelated question - two of the remotes are C4-sr250RSK-B and one is C4-SR250B-Z-B. The one i got to work is the RSK. Which is older?

I have found that f i delete the remote driver form the project..and re-add the driver.. THEN go into connections and identify the remote..click the red 4 , 4 times... it works

All this assuming you have started with resetting the remote

Quote

reflash Control 4 SR250 Remote

1. Removed batteries

2. Hold “0” & Control 4 button at the same time.

3. While holding the two buttons, Replace the batteries.

4. Keep pressed for 15 seconds. Red, green, yellow, and blue buttons will light up. Then release.

5. Give it 3-5 minutes

6. Disconnect from project and then re-identify in project.

Also to leave the network that the remote thinks it belongs to:

Quote

room off, #, *, 1, 3, 4, 1, 3

Hope that helps
