Chrismccc
Good morning Here is an interesting question for you experts. I have in my server rack Control4 controller EA-5 Control4 8 zone matrix amp C4-16amp3-b Blustream hdbaset splitter HSP14AB Sky hd I stream Tidal music around my house (8 zones) using the matrix amp. I feed sky hd to four TVs around the house using the Blustream and baluns. Do you think I could feed the sky audio from the blustream splitter (HDMI out) into a digital audio converter (HDMI digital audio extractor) then into the matrix amp? This would enable me to configure the control4 touch pad to have a WATCH icon which streams the sky audio to the room ceiling speakers. What do you guys think? lippavisual
That would work fine, but if you don't have displays in any of the other rooms where you are wanting Sky, then it would show up under Listen as a source.
Chrismccc
Thank you. I currently use the listen icon for music (tunein and tidal). Will I ask the dealer to add a sky icon in this folder too? do you think there will be any issue with lip sync delay?
lippavisual
The same icon that you see in the Watch section will appear in the Listen section. As long as you are using the HDMI De-Embedder for 2 Channel Audio on the output of the sky box, there shouldn't be noticeable delay. However, YMMV depending on the products you use, how your audio zones are setup, etc. Worst case, pay a little extra for a de-embedder that has audio delay support.
