koxkp
I have a C4-TDIM1Z and C4-KP6-Z Looking at this diagram my power comes in at the bottom of the stairs where where I'd like a keypad (box 1) and upstairs I was hoping to put the dimmer. Is it possible to reverse this diagram? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
funnyfarm299
The more important thing is where the load is. Is it located where you want to put the keypad or the dimmer?
koxkp
So, the control4 diagram example is different. Line in downstairs (where I'd prefer a keypad), travelers and out to the load upstairs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
koxkp
I'm thinking about it and would just connect hot in, keypad and then traveler black together and not use the extra in the three wire traveler and wire the upstairs normally. chicagoskiguy
I thonk people get confused with C4 and three way switches. C4 really just simulates a three way switch. It really a regular switch/dimmer on one side and a keypad that remotely controls that switch on the other.

I ended up figuring it out, but you do need to think of it this way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But those don't behave like a normal 3-way either.
