RyanE
Yeah, I assumed that, but it's so much fun to be right. RyanE
pinkoos
This is follow-up: When the keypad was first installed, it was in our master bathroom in a location where there was no pre-existing power (ie, no light switch, etc.). So, my dealer ran a CAT5 from the rack to the keypad location and connected it to the keypad. Back in the rack, the dealer used the Control4 low voltage keypad power supply to power the keypad. Mystery solved. https://www.control4.com/press_releases/archive/2006/09/14/low-voltage-power-supply When another dealer moved the keypad from the bathroom to the master bedroom (to the pre-existing 3 gang box), I'm not sure why he didn't just use the pre-existing power. He actually went to the trouble of pulling the CAT5 from the master bath location back up into the attic and then snaking it down into the 3 gang in the master bedroom. RyanE
Sounds like a case of 'Monkey see, monkey do'. i.e. second installer saw how it was connected, connected the new location the same way. RyanE

RyanE Yes, definitely seems that way.
